Arêches is an undiscovered gem of a ski resort which appeals to three distinct groups.

It's ideal for families, especially with young children. The pistes are perfectly maintained, all with the stunning backdrop of Mont Blanc.

For the freerider seeking fantastic, lift served off-piste there are epic runs and numerous opportunities both above and below the treeline.

New for 2021is a gondola from Le Planay to Le Cuvy.

It's also incredibly popular for ski touring, with easy access into big mountains and great itineraries and routes. There are even marked touring routes, as part of the Dynafit Test Centre status.

Every March the elite of ski mountaineering racing come to Arêches for the annual Pierra Menta event.

If you want a different ski experience, the Espace Diamant is accessible from Hauteluce. It's only 20 minutes drive, as is Les Contamines.
